Foundry Clusters in India
Everyone knows that China is no longer the sourcing hub. The tit for tat trade war between USA and China has perhaps permanently restructured global supply chains and India offers the perfect opportunity with high end engineering skills, economies of scale due to large domestic market and ,above all, it is a country that speaks English with established IP laws.
India also has a long and deep history in the casting industry which even predates China’s Industrial growth and subsidized pricing that reduced India’s footprint in the global market place.
However, you still need a partner that understands the backend in India and manages multiple processes that are often not in-house in a single unit but dispersed. Let`s face it India is not China but brings its own unique advantages.
